The Oregon State Beavers saw their season come to an end in a 78-69 loss to the Arizona Wildcats.
The Beavers were eliminated from the Pac-10 tournament and will not be awarded any postseason games.
The Beavers kept things tight in the first half, trailing the heavily-favored Wildcats by only three at halftime.
Jared Cunningham scored 19 of his 23 points in the first half to keep Oregon State in the game, but the Wildcats were simply too much to handle. (Read More…)

The Oregon State Beavers were no match for the Stanford Cardinal in an embarassing, 38-0 shutout loss.
The Beavers turned the ball over five times and didn’t force any turnovers. That won’t win you games against almost any opponent.
Oregon State has really struggled with its top playmaker out of the lineup, and the season has been in steady decline.
The defense wasn’t much better, giving up four touchdown passes to Andrew Luck and almost 500 yards of total offense. (Read More…)

Oregon State Beavers star wide receiver James Rodgers is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
Rodgers suffered the injury during the team’s upset victory oover the host Arizona Wildcats on Saturday.
A senior, Rodgers is eligible for a medical redshirt, though there is no word on whether he will be able to obtain it.
The wideout could have been selected in the NFL Draft, so the injury is a blow to his professional aspirations. (Read More…)

The Oregon State Beavers hung tough on the road but came up just a little bit short in a 30-21 loss to the Oregon State Beavers.
Oregon State had plenty of chances to either tie or win the game, but they were unable to put any points on the board in the fourth quarter.
The good news is that quarterback Ryan Katz looked solid in his starting debut, throwing for 159 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions.
The Rodgers brothers made a return to their home state but were unable to carry the Beavers to a road upset. (Read More…)

The Pac-10 expansion plans didn’t live up to the hype, as the conference ended up adding only Colorado and Utah to the mix. No super-conference. No Texas or Oklahoma. Still, the conference will split into two divisions and likely add a title game.
Oregon State Mike Riley is concerned about how things will shake out in the new-look Pac-10, though.
“In the end I was disappointed,” Riley said. “As the thing was taking place, the more I started thinking about it, the more excited I got. We were entering into a new era that would bring new teams to Corvallis. Now I’m back looking at what might happen.” (Read More…)

There is plenty of attention surrounding the Pac 10 these days, from the NCAA cracking down on Southern Cal to the arrival of Colorado.
But the rest of the conference is locked squarely on the upcoming season. For the Oregon State Beavers, it’s an opportunity to move toward the top of the conference in 2010.
The Beavers finished in a three-way tie for second place in the conference last season, going 6-3 in league play to finish tied with Arizona and Stanford, two games behind Pac-10 champion Oregon. (Read More…)
